About Us

Dr Ashlesha Parchure and Dr.N. Ramasubramanian are from the reputed institute UDCT and have a combined experience of more than 50 years in Indian Food industry.

The promoters pooled experience covers the entire gamut of food industry including product development, quality assurance, food regulatory affairs, product realization, food safety management system and B2B marketing of food ingredients. The promoters have worked in large, well-known Indian food companies and multinationals.

Dr Ashlesha Parchure is a pioneer in the field of B2B marketing and has established the marketing of food ingredients for a multinational in India.

The promoters, in 2013, decided to share their knowledge and experience with those who need it. It was felt that there are many companies and individuals, who have a product idea but not the resources to convert it into a marketable one. The resources could include a laboratory, food technologists, etc. One of the main objectives of VR Food Tech was to fill this need gap. In line with this, the promoters have created an adequately equipped product development laboratory in central Mumbai to support the clients achieve their dreams.

Dr. Ashlesha Parchure, B.Sc, B.Sc (Tech) and Ph.D (Tech) has held positions as Head, Techno-Commercial operations (2003-2011) and in Research & Development. She has contributed in developing number of products in the area of spray dried fruits, nutritional products for various categories, instant foods, etc. and was involved in inception, creating infrastructure and growth of entire range of food ingredients business for multinational company and has been in the consultancy business since 2011.

Co-partnering, Mr. Dr. N.Ramasubramanian, B.Sc, B.Sc (Tech) and Ph.D ( Tech) held positions as Quality and Product Development Manager & General manager (Technical) for a period of (1983-2003). Over the years he has contributed with his expertise in developing number of products in the area of fruit drinks/juices, functional foods, instant foods, baby food, etc. He has also managed manufacturing units, implemented ISO 22000, HACCP and has been practising consulting since 2003.
